From early puppyhood, Tycho has always wanted to work with his
person. He’s eager to train whatever venue – be it tracking, obedience, or
field. Highly skilled in each venue, he’s earned his TDX (Tracking Dog Excellent) at 18 months, his UDX and OBHF at 3 Years and is 2/3 of the way to his OTCH.
Tycho’s enthusiasm, style, and ability have brought high praise and compliments from tracking, obedience, and hunt test judges. He’s very fast and literally ran both his TD and TDX tests. In field work he runs out
fast and comes back just as fast.
Tycho has earned 29 Master Hunter passes with a very high pass rate. His marking is excellent, and he is a team player when running blinds. He has his own style of returning with the bird by backing up into heel position. This often brings chuckles from the judges and gallery.
Just as important, Tycho has an appropriate temperament and gets along great with dogs and people. While watching TV, he joins his owners on the couch for snuggle-time. He travels well, and in the words of his owner, “We have had some wonderful, talented Goldens but Tycho is even surpassing them and becoming our best dog ever.”
